A remarkable display of colours and patterns results from a sequence of naturally occurring tiered ponds loaded with mineral-rich waters. Heated by geothermal activity deep below the surface of the ground, these thermal springs have varied mineral concentrations that generate different colours ranging from turquoise to deep green. Natural infinity pools that seem to tumble down the hillside have been created over thousands of years by mineral deposition on the limestone terraces forming the pools. Different pools have different water temperatures, which gives guests different experiences as they tour the formation. While steam flowing from the warmer pools provides an ethereal environment, particularly on chilly mornings, the surrounding area boasts travertine deposits forming complex patterns and delicate structures.
