Some even constructed bunkers and fallout shelters in their backyards. A Woodland Hills, California, couple found one of these shelters in their new residence in 2013.

Even though they were aware of the bunker when they purchased the house, they initially believed it to be only a hole in the ground. They found a subterranean time capsule filled with pristine vintage supplies, such as food, water, beds, and more, when they examined the fallout shelter.
